Community Networking
Meaningful community connections that help individuals build relationships, explore interests, and participate more fully in everyday life.
What is Community Networking?
Community Networking provides individualized daytime activities in integrated community settings where individuals can connect with people, programs, and opportunities outside of disability-specific environments. The service is designed to support each person’s idea of a meaningful day while encouraging inclusion, independence, and stronger natural supports.
Community Networking may include activities such as adult education, volunteer work, hobby or leisure classes, self-advocacy training, public transportation training, and involvement in community groups or associations. The goal is to help individuals build valued social roles, expand their community relationships, and grow in confidence as they participate more fully in the world around them.
